FNE and Eucharistic Adoration

For Our Timber Wolves and Explorers

Within our FNE Explorer movement we strive to help our members grow ever closer to God by incorporating various elements or aspects of our faith into our everyday program.

Are we successful, you bet we are! Parents and youth members regularly report back a sense of a greater peace, heightened sensitivity to doing what is right and just, the realization that sin in our world (including our own) is very real, an issue that we all struggle with each and every day of our lives. We are drawn ever closer to the Lord through the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist while being increasingly willing to enter into prayer so that together and as individuals we can grow ever stronger in our love and trust in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. As Explorers we are gaining a sense of joy by serving others (such as feeding the homeless or visiting seniors), to be sincerely forgiving those who have sinned against us or our loved ones, by being set free by asking for forgiveness for our own trespasses from the Lord and our fellow human beings, and by respecting and loving fellow human beings regardless of gender, creed or culture as we are all children of God.

Federation of North-American Explorers – A detailed look as to what the program offers to our youth

Photo: The true joy of being an FNE family member!

If we look at the changing values in society, the constant noise, barrage of information non-stop competing for attention, and at times even demanding immediate attention… just look at how so many of us are glued to smart phones and other similar technology one can get easily distracted as to what really matters!

FNE – a growing movement that positively impacts the youth and leaders entrusted to our care…

Some feedback from a couple of parents of FNE Timber wolves…

From a Mother after a Promise Badge for a timber wolf…  We would just like to thank you once more for last night.  As Samuel has put it on our way home "It was the best night ever!"  He was so proud of "being a Timberwolf now", and he just loved his beret! I believe that to him, personally, last night's special ceremony was a milestone achievement in his life.

Again, thank you very much for leading this service for the Lord, and for positively touching the lives of our children, in a Christ-centered way.

A prayer to Jesus by FNE Timber Wolves

A prayer composed by FNE Timber Wolves at their November 2013 retreat:

Thank you for all that you have given to us, for Eucharistic Adoration and our retreat.  Thank you for our abilities and talents and your love.  You show us your love by dying on the cross for us, to give us parents and siblings and friends and relatives and families and love.

Despite of common perception that there is nothing to do in winter, Dove Explorers proved it wrong; winter is wonderful, charming, and welcoming at Wye Marsh in Midland, Ontario.

The Great Wayfarer Explorer walk

Wayfarer Journey

Lynx

As I write this with sore feet, my first impressions of the wayfarer program, the Italians and the Canadian wayfarers as a group is molto bene. Excuse me for the Italian, but learning about the wayfarer program from our Italian brothers carries more than just program knowledge, but also, a little bit of culture, enthusiasm, and comradery.

Growing in our faith… a visit to the Marian Shrine of Gratitude

Many people from all walks in life innocently under estimate the hunger for God and all things good that come from God that our children’s souls and hearts ache for, a hunger that is often left unfilled or misunderstood.

Children are like sponges, they absorb much from many sources especially from multi-media and from peers that often lead them into worldly values and ideals that may impede their spiritual growth and development.

Expansion of the Federation of North-American Explorers (FNE) Movement

FNE is proudly a member of the Union internationale des Guides et Scouts d'Europe (UIGSE) also known as the FSE (Federation Scouts of Europe). We are not associated with any other youth organization. Our larger movement has also been granted canonical status by the Holy See as an “association of the faithful of pontifical right.”

Expansion of our Catholic faith based FNE movement is undertaken carefully and on a small scale basis with quality before quantity being a key factor. We seek out the right leaders who will ensure the sustainable success of a new FNE group while ensuring that the quality of the FNE program is never compromised or under delivered.

Girls Timber Wolves learn about Blessed Mother Teresa

"Pray for us" said Mother Teresa a symbol of motherly love to all people, but especially to those who live in the
worst kinds of poverty, abandoned by the world, and to people who are very lonely.

Youth Forum at Radio Maria for FNE Timber Wolves and Leaders!

Within our FNE movement we continuously seek opportunities to embrace our five program objectives in all that we do. The centre of our program always has and will continue to center and evolve around God first followed by offering program activities that promotes  a sense of service, personal character development, a sense of participating in concrete things and finally health (physical and mental).

All five program objectives are accomplished through our once a month hosting of a “Youth Forum” at Radio Maria by traveling to the radio  station for a live on the air show.  The volunteer timber wolves and explorers arrive at the radio station with absolutely no idea as to what will be talked about on the show to thereby allow them to be inspired by the Holy Spirit and to go with the overall flow of the show... we have yet to be disapointed!

Girls Timber Wolves met with South Africa Explorer

On Thursday night we invited a special guest Akela Karen's co-worker Chris.

She traveled to South Africa and shared her videos with girls. We learned about several South Africa's habitats. It was very interesting story how wild animals share the space and even co-op in some situations to protect themselves from predators.

Some animals we saw are well-known, such as zebra, giraffe, cheetah,  and some are new like kudu, wildebeest, Suricata - Meerkat.

Thank you Chris for for sharing your story with us!!!

How to be a Good Timber Wolf by Angelica

Hi, my name is Angelica, I am a sixer in our Singum timber wolf den and I am 11 years old.  Last month Akela really surprised us when she asked us timber wolves, “How can you be a really good Timber Wolf?”

Explorers and Nature

One way to truly appreciate the beauty of animals that the Lord has created is to see them up close and personal... to "explore" the beauty of nature as always in a safe, constructive and respectful manner as illustrated in the photos below.

Explorers (in Europe called Scouting) what it is and what it is not...

Here we are in the Federation of European Scouting, so we will talk here about what we are doing. In other federations they can do those things in different manner. That’s their right. So, this is not a polemic directed to outside, but a reflexion for insiders with encouragement to discover and put into practice this blessed method, spirit and style of Scouts of Europe. This is my first text in English, as I saw a lot of people from the States reading my blog. From Chris I now that it’s not only Gienek who understands Polish.
